Second Place

The Raven
(Erasure from Poe)

I muttered Nothing more.
Bleak December wrought
its ghost vainly
here.
Purple curtains—darkness there.
I stood burning.
Ebony bird
one burden bore:  dirges
of Never swung
by seraphim.
Black plume floating
on the floor.
